Hello guys,

It's unfortunate I have to say this, but I might not be active for quite a while. My mom, (as I am still in highschool) is the overprotective kind, and thinks that everything is bad. She now apparently 'forbids' me to play any game at any time. Thing is, she's been doing this for 5 years now. Every year she has a different reason and in the end I just end up playing again, and more. I'm not sure how long I'll be inactive, but I just wanted to put it out there so when I come back(if), I'll still be welcomed. I might still play a bit here and there, but not enough to get to lvl 80 and get to do dungeons/etc with you guys (which I hoped to do by December, apparently not.-.-)

Hey, don't worry about it. :) As it says on the front page, if you find yourself removed from the Guild, just ask to be back in. Though until they add last played on the roster, we may have a mess of inactives, so don't stress. Lol

But with your mom, if you'll forgive the friendly advice here, I'd say try to find out why she thinks games are bad. It may be something more than games, and will usually ride on her hopes for your future. Since you're in high school, just make sure all your ducks are in a row to be able to live the life you'll want to: whether it includes college, working straight out of hs, or joining a military branch.

I've known some moms who viewed playing video games as their kids not taking life seriously, rather than a way to spend extra free time. So if you show her you're responsible, ready to strike out on adulthood in a few years, and that gaming is downtime fun but not an obsession, you'll probably get her to see your point of view much faster. :)

Good luck! And have a great holiday season!
